Medical Committee minutes (extract)

The following is an extract from the Medical Committee minutes, volume 1, held at Dorset History Centre (reference NG/HH/DO(C)/1/3/1).

Tuesday, 24 August 1875

  • Special Committee – present: Dr. Lush, Mr. Tudor, Mr. Emson.
  • “The House Surgeon having reported to the Committee that on the 10th Inst. he found Nurse Burroughs apparently under the influence of drink and unfit for duty and that on the same date she caused three ounces of Brandy to be taken from a patient of Mr. Tudor’s and drank it. It was resolved unanimously that the Medical Committee call the attention of the General Committee to the matter”.
